What's the sign language for "frog?"

Sometimes I think I could be a psychic. Like the other morning when I dreamt my mother was sick. The alarm went off and I awoke. Not a moment later, I received a text message from my mother. It said, "Wrong number?" "Huh?" "My phone rang twice and stopped; it was you." "I just woke up, but you were in my dream." "All good, I hope." "No, you were sick. Are you sure I called you? My phone has no record." "Positive." So who called my mother? Related to these suspicions of clairvoyance, I often believe I am being sent signs that indicate how I should live, my next move, or simply reinforce my presence on the correct path. Most recently, I saw three frogs. Frog number one: sitting on the loading dock at the Flynn Center in Burlington. Frog number two: walking in the dark behind the Vergennes Opera House to my truck in a dark parking lot, my headlamp just happened upon a frog in the grass. Frog number 3: hopped across the road on my drive back from Derby Line. A little research defined the frog as a symbol of change. Fitting. Lots of that heading down the pike, it seems. The music is taking new turns with a Boss RC-30 on board. The JamMan is finally in retirement. The new pedal features two tracks per loop on faders. Plus all the features of the JamMan. Plus internal effects. My body is changing. I've been faithfully following the Atkins diet for nine days (minus a bout of intoxicating nights/crapulous mornings that set me straight). There are other potential changes on the horizon, but they are maybes or just things that are better left to unfurl naturally without undue attention. There's nothing more exciting to me than change. I'm constantly mutating. I don't understand immutable people. Don't you get bored?
